The ECHO Autism program is an innovative partnership program to mentor physicians on best practices in early identification, intervention, evaluation and management of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using the online platform of ECHO. The broad objective is to increase access to quality health care for children with ASD by providing specialized case-based, tele-education and mentoring to physicians to increase their self-efficacy in early identification of ASD, as well as in assessing and treating common medical and psychiatric co-morbidities in ASD.

The training incorporates both teaching sessions and an interactive, case-based learning feature, to enhance the participants' understanding and ability to diagnose and provide care for children with autism.
